About Me

Sarah L. Reynolds, LCSW, PMH-C was born in Sacramento California, and traveled often within a military family until her college years. In 2011, Sarah moved to Elizabethtown and made it her home. She resides with her husband Keaton and son Oliver. 

 

She received both her bachelor’s degree and Master of Social Work from Western Kentucky University. She has spent close to 17 years working with Adults, Children, and Families. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed through the Kentucky Board of Social Work, and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health provider from Postpartum Support International (PSI). Ms. Reynolds is also a registered Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator. She is in the process of applying to become a registered Play Therapist as well as working towards certification in EMDR.​

Ms. Reynolds works closely with community partners and is currently working for the local school district as a District Social Worker to assist families in Hardin County.

 

In the past, Sarah has provided services as an autonomously licensed Batterer’s Intervention Provider, working extensively with perpetrators and victims of domestic violence as well as children who have been exposed to violence.

Sarah provides Kentucky board approved trainings for mental health professionals on Understanding and Treating Suicide, Domestic Violence, Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma, and Social Work Ethics. 

Ms. Reynolds enjoys both providing trainings but also hosting and sponsoring exceptional presenters—often offered over Zoom or in-person in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Ms. Reynolds further offers supervision and professional consultation services upon request. She also offers clinical supervision for Clinical Social Workers working towards their independent licensure.

My Approach

In all aspects of life, a solid foundation is necessary for healthy growth. At Building Foundations we strive to assist individuals and families in gaining the necessary skills for a greater future.​I am passionate about meeting individuals and families where they are and assisting them to build the necessary skills for the life they seek. I believe you are the expert of your life, and my work focuses on working alongside my clients in whatever struggles they are dealing with to reach their treatment goals.​Each client's life experience are unique and therefore my approach to each client will be based on their individual needs. ​During treatment I may utilize techniques from many different treatment modalities. I have had training and experience including but not limited to the following: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Child Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), Dialectical (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & ReprocessingTherapy (EMDR), Family Systems, Parent-Child Interaction (PCIT), Trauma Focused​​​
