In this training for Kentucky Social Workers, participants will examine the code of ethical conduct according to 201 KAR 23:080 and within the NASW Code of Ethics to gain a clear understanding of their content and practice implications. Participants will also develop a framework for ethical decision-making. Objectives: 1.) Gain an understanding of the importance and complexity of ethical considerations within social work practices. 2.) Explore 201 KAR 23:080 as well as review NASW Code of Ethics Review and discuss specific case examples that pertain to ethical violations. 3.) Explore common experiences that may lead to social worker burn-out as well as boundary violations and ethical dilemmas 4.) Develop framework for ethical decision making and addressing ethical issues within social work practice. The Kentucky Board of Social Work has approved this program. This course meets the Social Work Ethics course requirement established in 201 KAR 23:075. This is a virtual training via Zoom. To receive CE credit cameras must remain on for the majority of the training.
